Refund Policy

This policy exists to achieve service excellence for our facility renters. This policy explains how we handle refunds, with respect to facility rentals. A signed contract is reviewed with each renter at the time of booking. The BPCC refund policy is stated clearly in this contract.

This policy affords all facility renters who choose Bronx Park Community Centre the option of changing their mind about their rental. Life happens, circumstances change, and we want to be responsive in order to achieve a safe and pleasant facility and atmosphere for our patrons, employees and visitors. The Facility Management Board has instituted the following practical to ensure the satisfaction of all renters.

Policy Application & Calculation

  • A cancellation fee of 10% of the contract amount will be charged if the cancellation is confirmed 30 days or more prior to the event.
  • A cancellation fee of 25% of the contract amount will be charged if the cancellation is confirmed less than 30 days prior to the event.


The Facility Manager will present all requests for rental refunds to the Facility Management Board (FMB) for review. It is the responsibility of the Facility Manager to determine the amount of the refund and offer this calculation to the FMB as information. All refunds will be entered into the FMB Meeting Minutes and presented to the BPCC Treasurer who will issue the refund cheque within 60 days of the request.
